Summerwind, the largest Plaza del Amo complex, consists of 505 attached townhouse units that were built between 1987 and 1989 by Watt Industries. This popular complex is located on the south side of Plaza del Amo midway between Crenshaw Boulevard and Maple Avenue combines traditional Cape Cod architectural styling with many contemporary features. All Summerwind units have double attached garages with adjoining laundry and storage areas at the lower, street level. The second level consists of the front door entry area, living room, dining area, kitchen, and powder room. All bedrooms and two bathrooms are on the third level. Two of the floor plans have wood burning fireplaces. All plans have a private bathroom in the master bedroom. There are six special units that were built for handicapped buyers that have square footages over 1,600 square feet. These units were designed to be wheel chair accessible at the first floor level, include a downstairs bedroom.
